Fast review:
- 7/10
- Interesting concept
- Fun game
- Single-player
- Get boring after a while
In-depth review:
So what is Evil Genius. Well it's a game where you are the evil, and trying to build up your evil lair. You can see yourself like Dr. Evil from Austin Powers.
Yes, this is you! :)
You can even choose an evil character that look just like Dr. Evil.
The game is single-player only. You have to build up your evil lair from the beginning, and protect it from different spies, police and other people from the government.
You have to create different traps to keep them out, and it is a lot of fun. The whole concept is really good. As you progress in the game, you get to new locations.
It is hard to get started with the game. There is a tutorial, but I personally didn't get a lot out of it. You have to experiment with the game, and you probably have to restart some times. That can get a little annoying.
The game is fun to begin with, and you can try out many different things in the game. It is really fun to build your very own evil lair and then protect it. But it can get boring quickly.
When you have tried out many of the different buildings/traps/stuff in the game, then there is not much left to do. But all the way through, until it get boring is very fun. The graphics is a little outdated right now, but it is nothing you will have to worry about. That don't ruin the game at all.
I would say you should try the game out if you would like to build your very own evil lair.
I give the game 7 out of 10 for the fun game-play, interesting concept, many different possibilities to build you own evil lair, but still get boring after a while.
